There are plenty of beautiful walks around our area and many can be accessed directly from the park. Most take in all or part of our stunning South West Coast Path.

Castles, Heritage & Culture

As well as some spectacular country houses, you’ll discover some grand, imposing castles and historical forts here in South Devon, bringing to life the conflict and power that has shaped this captivating county.

Pirate Ships, Caves and Historic Villages

Bring out your inner pirate or wander through chocolate box villages with thatched roofs and quaint cafes. You’ll find it all here in our part of Devon!

With the huge expanse of South Devon coastline, as well as the River Dart on our doorstep, the area is a haven for a variety of watersports and outdoor activities.

There are a huge variety of animal attractions in South Devon to enjoy – from zoos and magical aquariums, to petting farms and educational wildlife centres.

The Ferry Boat Inn – Catch the passenger ferry from Greenway Quay, just 5 minutes across the river to the beautiful village of Dittisham and this great pub right on the water front!

Our location close to the River Dart means that using water transport is the best way to get around. Leave your vehicle on the park and catch a ferry across to Dartmouth for the day, or indulge in a steam train ride, which winds through our beautiful countryside and coastline.
