Further down the bay, the dog-friendly Slapton Sands is another great way to take advantage of South Devon’s Mediterranean-like climate and crystal clear waters. Be sure to pay a visit to the nearby Slapton Ley nature reserve, featuring the largest freshwater lake in South West England.
